Decatur Heritage’s fourth-quarter comeback came up short in the Eagles 53-50 loss to 7A Huntsville on Monday night.
The Eagles, who trailed 42-32 entering the fourth, outscored the Panthers 18-11 but came up three points short.
Decatur Heritage (2-2) was led by Clay Smith had 16 points, while Brayden Kyle added 11 points. Sean Zerkle had six points and nine rebounds and Lemzel Johnson finished with four points and 10 rebounds.
Huntsville was led by Luke Guyette, who scored 16 points.
