West Morgan picked up their second win of the season in a 72-58 win over West Point on Monday night.
The Rebels jumped out to a 26-14 first-quarter leader behind the play of Dyllan Ward, who hit three 3-pointers on his way to 15 points in the quarter.
West Morgan extended their lead to 41-29 heading into the halftime break.
West Point cut the Rebels’ lead to nine early in the fourth but could not get any closer as West Morgan pulled away.
West Morgan (2-5) was led by Ward, who scored a game-high 21 points. Carson Muse added 19 points, Skyler Hutto had nine, and Isaac Ward finished with eight. Colby Hutto added seven points, Dylan Owens had six, and Marcus Jones finished with two.
West Point (7-3) was led by Will Cochran, who finished with 20 points, while Cade Simmons added 10 points.
