Following their 42-28 victory over Florence last week, the Austin Black Bears made another jump in the polls this week. They are now ranked No. 5 in 7A, just ahead of this week’s opponent James Clemens.
Joining the Black Bears in the polls this week is Decatur Heritage. The Eagles moved up two spots to No. 7 in 1A following their 40-14 victory over Phillips last week.
Falkville is the only other county team to receive votes in this week’s poll. They currently sit just outside the Top 10 in 2A.
