Savarius Evans carried Decatur Heritage to a big opening-night win on Friday, rushing 15 times for 273 yards and six touchdowns as the Eagles rolled past Section.
Nash Thomas was 3-of-3 passing for 83 yards and one touchdown. Jackson Thomas caught two passes for 68 yards and a score and Jordan Davis had a rushing touchdown.
Decatur Heritage (1-0) travels to face Carbon Hill next week.
