The Hartselle Lady Tigers, coming off a two-week layoff, defeated 7A Chelsea 44-38 at Border Wars in Athens this past week. Hartselle trailed the Lady Hornets 35-34 heading into the fourth quarter and outscored Chelsea 10-3 to get the come-from-behind win. The Lady Tigers led 15-9 after the first quarter and 28-26 at halftime.

Gracie Hill led the Lady Tigers (11-4) with 24 points and seven rebounds. She hit eight three-pointers. Hannah Burks added nine points, while Mary Frances Itsede had six points, 13 rebounds and five assists.

“I am proud of how the girls played following our two-week layoff,” coach Amber Deline said. “I have never had a player hit eight three-pointers in a game until Gracie’s performance.”
