VINEMONT – The Danville Hawks fell on the road at Vinemont by a 48-14 score this past Friday.
The Hawks were pounded by a strong rushing attack from the Eagles, who ran for 320 yards and outgained Danville 366-258.
Benjamin Ellenburg finished with 128 yards passing and a touchdown to lead Danville. Keilyn Speegle ran for 90 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Gage Taylor had four receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Danville (2-6, 2-3) closes region play against Brindlee Mountain on Friday. The Hawks can make the playoffs with a win by Vinemont and a loss by Susan Moore.
