Falkville 58, Holly Pond 53
The Falkville Blue Devils’ basketball team improved to 2-0 in area play with a 58-53 win over Holly Pond on Dec. 12. The Blue Devils led 27-25 at halftime and 40-33 after three quarter before holding off a Broncos rally in the fourth quarter.
Caden Butler had a game-high 26 points to lead Falkville. Dawson Fowler added a double-double, 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Eli Harris had nine points.
Falkville 66, Athens Bible School 28
The Blue Devils used a dominating scoring effort by Dawson Fowler to defeat Athens Bible 66-28 on Dec. 14. Fowler scored a game-high 34 points, while hitting seven three-pointers in the victory. The Blue Devils hit 12 three-pointers as a team.
Harris added 11 points and seven rebounds and three steals, while Butler had 10 points.
