Danville improved to 4-0 in Class 3A Area 15 play with a 59-41 win over East Lawrence on Tuesday night.
The Hawks, who led 12-10 after the first quarter, pulled away from East Lawrence with an 18-6 run in the second quarter to grab a 30-16 lead at the intermission. They extended the lead to 49-30 heading to the final quarter.
KJ Melson finished with 22 points and seven rebounds to lead Danville (11-4, 4-0). Kohl Randolph added 13 points and eight rebounds.
Peyton Davenport finished with 13 points for East Lawrence (3-10, 1-3).
