The Brewer boys basketball team improved to 1-1 in area play with a win over West Point on Dec. 12. They followed the win up with a win over Randolph on Dec. 15.
Brewer 55, West Point 49
Brewer defeated West Point 55-49 to improve to 1-1 in area play. The Patriots led 11-9 after the first quarter and 27-23 at halftime. They extended their lead to 43-36 heading into the final quarter.
Austyn Holmes and Jackson Dunn scored 17 points each to lead the Patriots. Dunn hauled down nine rebounds. Cason Oden added 13 points and six rebounds.
Brewer 64, Randolph 45
Dunn had a double-double, 30 points and 10 rebounds, in a dominating performance in Brewer’s 64-45 win over Randolph on Dec. 15. The Patriots led 20-9 after the first quarter and 38-19 at halftime.
Holmes had 11 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Cam Ballinger added nine points and four rebounds.
