Falkville drops second consecutive game in loss to Tanner

Falkville went on the road Friday night and dropped its second consecutive region game to fall to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the region.

Freshman Landon Powers, who entered the second quarter for an injured Caden Burnett, finished seven of 18 for 107 yards passing and three touchdowns in the 35-28 loss to Tanner.

Two of his touchdown passes went to Andrew Jones, who finished with four catches for 99 yards.

Jordan Greenfield had 99 yards rushing and a touchdown on 16 carries before exiting the game late in the fourth quarter.

Falkville travels to Ider (5-3, 2-2) Friday night. The teams are tied for third in the region with two games to go.
