Despite a huge game from KJ Melson, the Hawks dropped their opening game of the Marx Optical Thanksgiving Classic to West Point.
Melson led all scorers with 32 points for the Hawks. He surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career during the game.
Kohl Randolph added 11 points for Danville.
Five West Point players scored in double-digits with Logan Selby, Sam Wheeler, and Kobe Bowers each scoring 13 points to lead the way. Will Cochran added 12 while Aubry Cleghorn had 10.
