ASWA Football Rankings: Falkville stays at No. 9 in 2A

Three local teams are ranked in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association High School Football Rankings that were released Tuesday night.

Falkville held steady at No. 9 in Class 2A following their 53-0 victory over Section last Friday night. The Blue Devils were ranked for the first time this season in last week’s poll. This is the first time they have been ranked since the 2018 season.

Austin stayed at No. 9 in 7A while Decatur Heritage held on to the No. 7 spot in 1A.

Priceville received votes but still remains just outside the 4A Top 10.
