Falkville returned to play on Tuesday night after a two-week break due to COVID-19 concerns as they hosted the Danville Hawks.
The lay-off didn’t seem to hurt the Blue Devils as they jumped out to a 15-8 first-quarter lead. They extended their lead to 24-16 at halftime.
Falkville came out of halftime and held Danville to just three points as the Blue Devils extended their lead to 35-19. They closed out the game by outscoring the Hawks 20-9 in the final quarter.
Sydnee Fitzgerald led Falkville (3-0) with 20 points, six steals, and four assists. Makenzie Veal added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Danville (2-5) was led by Brityan Godfrey, who scored nine points. Aaliyah Douglas added seven points.
