Hartselle senior Brantley Drake has committed to play college softball at Samford University in Homewood, AL.
“I’m so excited to announce that I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at Samford University!,” Drake announced on Twitter. “I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this incredible opportunity. A big thank you to my Hartselle High School coaches, my Alabama Impact coaches, and my family for helping me through this process.”
Drake finished her junior season with a .358 average along with 51 runs, 48 hits, 32 stolen bases, 30 RBIs, and 13 doubles.
Samford is coached by Kimball Cassady. The Bulldogs play in the Southern Conference and finished the 2022 season 34-19 and 15-3 in the conference.
