Brewer drops low scoring game to Sardis

FLORETTE – Brewer dropped a third consecutive game at home following their 12-7 loss to Sardis.

Sardis grabbed a 6-0 lead midway through the first quarter with a 15-yard touchdown pass.

The Patriots responded with a Caden Childers 13-yard touchdown pass to Walker Latham to take a 7-6 lead with less than two minutes remaining in the first quarter.

A 20-yard Sardis touchdown pass with less than two minutes to play in the first half gave the Lions a 12-7 lead.

Neither team would score in the second half, with Sardis holding on for a 12-7 win.

Childers finished 10-of-22 passing for 103 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. DJ Burney caught three passes for 62 yards, while Latham had four receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Brewer (3-3, 2-1) travels to Russellville for a region game Friday.
