The Danville Lady Hawks picked up a 58-29 win over visiting Tharptown in the first game under new head coach Mallory Alberti this past Friday.
The Lady Hawks (1-0) defense dominated the game, finishing with 29 steals in the victory.
Maddie Sherrill and Alyssa Brooks each had 12 points to lead the Lady Hawks. Sherrill also had seven rebounds and five steals. Olivia Vest finished with five points, seven rebounds and seven steals. Reagan Prater and Adily Alberti each finished with six steals.
